Terms & Conditions


Booking

Go to the CHECK AVAILABILITY form, fill in all fields and click on CHECK AVAILABILITY.

You will see a second form MY PREFERENCES, please verify your information, add your address & fellow guests and select the options you prefer and click on CHECK AVAILABILITY.

You must be over 21 years of age and authorised by all members of your party listed to accept the conditions of booking on their behalf.

Due to state fire regulations the maximum capacity of the villa must not be exceeded. Givaho has 5 bedrooms with maximum 2 persons per bedroom.

Within 24 to 48 hours you will know if Givaho is still available and you will receive the best price for your dates and preferences.

Prices quoted are in USD.

If you write URGENT in the message field, we’ll try to reply to you within 12 hours.

Minimum stay is 4 nights. The longer you stay the cheaper the rate.

You will receive inexpensive and transparent prices including all taxes.

If you are with a small family needing only 1 or 2 or 3 bedrooms you can choose an option to share the villa with another family.

Sharing makes your stay cheaper as we can divide general expenses such as cleaning and utilities [ airco, electricity, pool maintenance, water, etc … ]

If Givaho is available for the time you requested, we will send you 2 quotations, one quotation without sharing and one with sharing.

At the time of your booking you pay the non-sharing price and if you, or we, find housemates during your stay, within 60 days from the time of your booking, we will refund you the difference.

2017 Update … Sharing is no longer offered! You rent our entire vacation home for you and your family/friends only.

Givaho is equipped with a professional office with two L-shaped desks with monitors, printer and scanner, ideal for business people.

The use of the office is free of charge.

Givaho pool and jacuzzi are equipped with privacy pool curtains, the pool and pool deck are suited for nude swimming and sunbathing.

Givaho pool and jacuzzi are equipped with a pool heater, heating the pool and jacuzzi are advised during the winter period from October up to April.

With the pool heater on you always enjoy pool temperatures of 29°C or 85°F.

With the jacuzzi heater on you enjoy jacuzzi temperatures of 40°C or 105°F.

The jacuzzi has a 60 minute timer inside the living room, when the timer is not set, the jacuzzi has pool temperatures of 29°C or 85°F.

The pool and jacuzzi both have a pool cover to keep the heat in the water, especially during the night, heating the pool and jacuzzi have an additional cost of $250.00 per week. Minimum charge is one week as it takes 2 full days to warm up the pool & jacuzzi.

Without pool heater in the winter months you will not be able to enjoy the pool or jacuzzi.

Cleaning

Full cleaning is carried out before your stay. If additional cleans are required, you can arrange this directly with our Housekeeping Service and will be payable locally.

Force Majeure

Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible nor accept liability where we are prevented from delivering our contractual obligations by Force Majeure.

These include but are not limited to, war, threat of war, civil commotion or strike, hostilities, strikes and other industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, acts of God, terrorist activities, weather conditions, government action or other events outside our control.

Your travel insurance may cover you in some of these events.

Liability

You are advised that you are occupying a private property and therefore are responsible for your own safety in respect of any loss, personal accidents or damages sustained by you or any members of your party during your stay.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance to cover personal injury / accidents / damage.

No claims whatsoever will be accepted by us or our Property Management Company. We and our Property Management Company accept no liability for loss of main services or failure of appliances or of any actions taken in the vicinity of the property by any authority or third party persons beyond our control.

Payment

At the time of your booking we ask a 50% prepayment.

Givaho will email you a PayPal generated invoice.

In the email you will see

  • All reservation details & price.
  • A “View and Pay Invoice” link.

When you click on this link you will see the invoice and a payment button.

When you have a PayPal account you can login and approve the payment.

When you have no PayPal account you will be asked to submit your credit card details in order to make the payment.

PayPal is a secure payment processor, only PayPal will know your credit card details, Givaho does not receive your credit card information, only your payment.

Your booking will be confirmed within 24 to 48 hours after Givaho has received your payment.

One week before your arrival we ask the balance plus a $300 security deposit.

We are also starting to accept the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum.

A contract will exist when we have accepted and confirmed your full payment.

Reservation payments are non-refundable. A security deposit of USD 300 is required upon arrival for incidental charges. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.

Occasionally we will be forced to make changes to your booking through reasons beyond our control.

You will be informed as soon as possible, generally a change in the villa specification will be an upgrade to our villa.

If your villa has to be changed, everything possible will be done to ensure it is the same standard or better, offering the same facilities.

If a major change is required ie moving you to an inferior villa, then the following options will be offered :

  • Accepting the change and a refund in respect of the price difference or
  • Cancelling and taking a full refund of all monies paid in respect of the booking.

Pool

All guests use the pool and its surrounding areas at their own risk.

Children are required to be supervised at all times when using the pool or on the pool deck area.

We and our Property Management Company will accept no responsibility for any loss or personal injury incurred from using the pool or its surrounding areas.

DO NOT TAKE GLASSES OR BOTTLES ONTO THE POOL DECK OR IN THE POOL AND JACUZZI.

Prices & Surcharges

Whilst we make every effort to avoid amending prices, we reserve the right to do so at any time.

Rules & Regulations

Check In after 4:00 pm – 16.00 unless otherwise arranged and agreed.

Check Out before 10:00 am – 10.00 unless otherwise arranged and agreed.

No pets !

Under no circumstances are pets of any kind permitted.

No smoking !

Smoking is not permitted inside the property.

In the event that this condition is breached then the cost of cleaning and refreshing the property will be deducted from the security deposit.

Show respect and treat this home as your own.

Use common sense, use energy wisely

Security Deposit

1

One week before your arrival you will be asked to transfer a USD 300 security deposit which will be fully refunded if no damage or broken or lost items are discovered after your departure.

As soon as we receive your security deposit we’ll email you the

  • Access Code
  • Alarm Code
  • Emergency Contact Numbers
  • Wifi Network & Password

After your departure, the house will be checked. If there is no

  • Broken, lost or missing items or
  • Damage or
  • Excessive cleaning required or
  • Excessive garbage left behind or
  • Excessive billing of utilities [ water and electricity ]
    • $15.00 per day is included excl. pool heater.
    • $50.00 per day is included incl. pool heater.

You will be fully refunded within 30 days after departure.

If there is an issue

  • Pictures will be taken and emailed to you.
  • An estimate or invoice will be prepared and emailed to you.
  • After your approval, the issue will be fixed or replaced and paid from your deposit, the balance will be refunded within 30 days after your approval.

Sub-Letting

Your booking is made only to those named on the booking form. No further persons are permitted to stay and sub-letting is not allowed.

The use of amenities

The use of accommodation and amenities ie swimming pool etc. is entirely at your own risk, no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the user or visitors belongings.

Travel Insurance

This is not included.

We do not provide any insurance cover and you are strongly advised to take out adequate travel or holiday insurance, to cover for cancellation, accidents, illness or damage. Please ensure you have specific and sufficient holiday insurance to cover all your needs.

It is vital that you have adequate travel insurance for all members of your party to safeguard you from loss should it become necessary to cancel your holiday for an insurable reason.

It is your responsibility to ensure you purchase cover that is sufficient for your needs.
